What We Do

1. Soul Bridge Ministry has been providing free and reduced rate biblical counseling services for Christian churches and their members since it was founded in January, 2022. Church members who were looking for professional counseling services based on their Christian faith were referred by their pastors or other church members to our service. One of the Soul Bridge Ministry directors, Hui Qiao, has been providing these services for those church members. The services include but not limited to, individual counseling, couples counseling, family counseling, Christian counseling, play therapy, and trauma therapy, all of which were conducted by Christians and to Christians.

2. In the future, Soul Bridge Ministry will also conduct researches in the field of integrating biblical theology and mental health theories to help deescalate the stigma towards mental health issues from church members.

3. Soul Bridge Ministry will also provide biblical education on mental health and marital & parenting issues through literature and media publications for church members to help them feel more comfortable to get help from mental health professionals. Soul Bridge Ministry will use all these materials to help church members to self-assist with their mental wellbeing needs conveyed in biblical and Christian literacies to avoid potential misunderstanding and miscommunication.

4. It will serve as a platform bridge for cross-church communications on mental health issues when each individual church does not have enough resources to handle the cases of their church members related with mental health issues. Soul Bridge Ministry will try to build up a better referral system in-between Christian churches so that more church members will have the opportunity to be treated by our most qualified biblical counselors based on their needs and the professionals’ specialties, instead of being limited to the resources from their one own church.

5. Soul Bridge Ministry will hire more professional counselors who graduated from graduate schools with Christian faith background and hearts to serve the communities of faith. The activities have already been and will be conducted in office buildings or churches to make sure the required confidentiality protocol will be met. We allocate 100% of the time to these religious activities. Our activities are funded by voluntary offering from church members’ donations or funding from other charity organizations, and all the donations are used for our religious activities described above. Since all our activities are faith based, non-profit religious activities, we believe that we are qualified for religious exempt purposes.

1. God is eternal and self-exists, who created the heavens and earth and He is the Lord of man. He is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, one essence but three persons, the only Triune God.

2. Jesus Christ is truly God and fully Man, He co-exists with the Father and the Holy Spirit and shares the same nature, power, eternality and glory. He is the Word who became flesh, born of Virgin Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit. He willingly died on the Cross to redeem the sins of men. On the third day, He physically rose from death and appeared to many before ascended into Heaven. He is the only mediator between sinful men and the holy God.

3. The Holy Spirit is the believers’ Comforter; He is co-equal with the Father and the Son in nature, power, existence and glory. He convicts people’s sins and causes them to repent and be saved. He eternally dwells in believers and leads them to the truth and sanctifies the saints.

4. The Bible is composed of the Old and the New Testaments with a total of 66 books. The autograph was divinely inspired and contains no errors. It is the highest authority and guide for believers’ faith and practices.

5. Man is made in the image of God. But Adam fell into temptations and hence sin entered the world causing the entire humanity to fall and become separated from God. Man cannot save himself and is in need of the salvation grace of God.

6. Salvation is a free gift and pure grace from God, only believing Jesus Christ’s death on the Cross and His resurrection from death can bring forgiveness of sins. Through faith in Christ, we are justified. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are being born again and have everlasting life.

7. Jesus Christ will come back again on earth to establish His eternal Kingdom. One day, all will be resurrected and stand before Christ for final judgment. Those that believed in Christ will have eternal life, and they will be with God forever; whereas those that did not believe in Christ will receive punishment, and they will be eternally separated from God.
